About the Venue

The Montshire Museum is the perfect venue for your special event. Hold your anniversary celebration or a festive dinner in our Community Room, followed by a leisurely walk outside on our trails. Invite guests to your wedding reception in our Science Park, with the lovely Connecticut River Valley as a backdrop. Or stage a corporate event for co-workers and their families and have the Museum all to yourselves!

Two stories of intriguing hands-on exhibits are housed under a vaulted cathedral ceiling, creating a setting that manages to exude both grandeur and intimacy. The Montshire offers a spacious, carpeted Community Room that can accommodate meetings or catered functions, with an adjacent kitchen and restrooms.

The Museum is easy to get to—we're located off I-91 at exit 13, in Norwich, Vt., just one mile from Dartmouth College and Hanover, N.H., and four miles north of White River Jct., Vt., where interstates I-91 and I-89 intersect.

Community Room Rentals. Combine a visit to the Museum with an exclusive event for your guests. Our Community Room is available for rental any Saturday or Sunday between 2 and 5 p.m.
